The Tradition of the Wassail with Celtic Ferret

The ancient practice of the Wassail will be explored from its origins, purpose and local traditions and songs.
The wassail bowl and its contents differ from place to place, and we will be inviting the participants to create a wassail (the drink) from an authentic recipe during the workshop.
Workshop participants will be fully engaged, learning the history, singing the songs, performing the rituals and sharing the wassail bowl.
A real apple tree will be wassailed in the time-honoured fashion.
