Canterbury Folk FestivalA Family Festival of Music
From Australia we bring you UKE Nomad
UKE NOMAD play original and contemporary Jazz/Folk/Soul featuring a Barron River Tenor and Bass Ukuleles. Tripping tenor uke loops, allows the flute to solo and gorgeous vocal Lead and harmonies to soar, showcasing songs written about places and people they met in Southland last year. Original lyrics shine through with a swag of favourite covers and there’s plenty of chances to sing along. They will be featuring their new album ‘Tell me a Story’ and songs from ‘Love from Woodfordia.’
Anu Grace was a founding member of jazz band Chocolate Fish on Waiheke Island for 17 years and Laurie Anu play their original music as part of the 5 piece festival band, Halelujah Baby in Australia.
