Ada Francis is a multi instrumentalist and singer from Edinburgh,
Scotland.

Ada started playing the Clarsach or Celtic harp aged six, with Isobel
Meiras at the Edinburgh City Music School who has given her a solid
craft in the instrument and its music. She has been steeped in her
parents working life as folk musicians, attending Summer camps and
Ceilidh’s throughout, apprenticing her musical skills alongside other
performers being continuously encouraged to develop her talents.

She has lived in Newcastle for the last four years and in that time has
become part of the thriving music scene becoming involved in a wide
range of musical projects.

She has released music with contemporary folk trio, ‘The Cusp’,
(clarsach) vocal trio ‘Luna Blu’ (voice and guitar) and more recently
five piece jazz pop band, ‘Lyras’ (voice and guitar).

With these projects she has performed all over the North East and
continues to write original music on her own and with her projects.
